HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE BARREL HANDLE FOR YOUR KITCHEN CABINETS AND DRAWERS

There is no right or wrong. It’s really a matter of the personal taste and the “look” you want. If you are replacing existing hardware, then your decision is made. If holes are not yet drilled, there are two options:

Option 1: Choose one size for all your cabinet drawers and doors – creating a uniform handle look.  Typically, you would install the handles horizontally on the drawer and vertically on the doors. You might want to install the doors horizontally as well; again, depending on “the look” you want.

Option 2: Choose a different size Barrel Handle for each size drawer or door front. Barrel handles are offered in a set range of sizes. How do you decide what length to put on what cabinet?  You can cut lengths of painter’s masking tape to the overall length and place it on the cabinet or draw front.  There is no right or wrong way of choosing sizes, just make sure the length of the Barrel Handle is less that the width of the drawer or door front you are placing it on.
